Programming is a human activity. That question calls forth all of computer science from low-level machine design, through compilers, operating systems, programming and interaction design, to psychology and organisation theory. Here I'll post I don't see how psychology and computer science go together just by viewing your presentation, but maybe I have to understand more of your research. A couple of months ago the topic of psychology and computer programming came up in a thread; it was noted there didn't seem to be a lot of work done in the area (iirc). Reduction of computer fears was examined by comparing changes in computer attitudes over a semester among two introductory computer programming classes and one introductory psychology class (N=50). However, the rules note that the skill should only exist in the more "cinematic" games — in a realistic game, the would-be hacker will have to instead learn a bunch of various skills like computer programming, psychology, etc. This was a great book in many ways but sometimes I think it fell short. I will buy into this congruence buzzword, if this is the same Gerald Weinberg who wrote Psychology of Computer Programming. This book has only one major purpose—to trigger the beginning of a new field of study: computer programming as a human activity, or in short, the psychology of computer programming. Humans are strange creatures who behave in odd ways sometimes. The Psychology of Computer Programming: Silver Anniversary Edition by Gerald M. Courses cover a range of subjects, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer programming, engineering, psychology, legal studies and philosophy. (You might want to look at The Psychology of Computer Programming, written before most of these languages were invented, or their inventors were even born. The Computer Language Benchmarks Game is a collection of 429 programs, consisting of 13 benchmark reimplemented across 33 programming languages. Niko Schwarz's science and programming. It is a fantastic resource if you are trying to compare programming the end, anything not worth doing is not worth doing fast. It was called the Psychology of Computer Programming by Gerald Weinberg.
